The God of the Living — 7th Week — Day 4 — Great Lent
Scripture Reading:
Mark 12:18–27
Key Verse:
“He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living. You are therefore greatly mistaken.” (Mark 12:27, NKJV)
Meditation:
Are we mistaken about our God like the Sadducees? They limited Him to their understanding, denying His power. But our God is not dead—He is Pantokrator, Mighty in His suffering, glorious in His Resurrection. He transforms every cross into a crown, every grave into a gate of life. Beloved, we are called to live heaven on earth—don’t waste time on dead thoughts or empty distractions. Let this Holy Week awaken you to the God of the living, who walks beside you, suffers with you, and raises you with Him.
Early Church Fathers’ Saying:
“The Savior is led to the suffering that brings salvation.”
– St. Cyril of Alexandria
Daily Practice:
Today, draw near to the Savior—He is the Life and the Resurrection. Ask Him to renew your mind, to help you walk carrying your cross with Him. Let each step prepare your heart for Pascha.
